S&W 1076 Pistol
Smith & Wesson Model 1076 pistol in 10mm Auto. This is the model that the FBI adopted after the infamous Miami Shootout that led the FBI to seek a more effective handgun cartridge than the 9mm that was currently in use.
These S&W Third Generation 10mm pistols are literally built like a tank and enjoy a reputation for reliability and accuracy.
This particular pistol has been back to S&W for the sideplate recall as shown by the two punch marks under the frame mounted de-cocking lever. It lacks the dreaded magazine safety that kills the trigger pull and can be fired with no magazine seated. Additionally it has the low profile combat night sights (Lamps are dim)s. Also included is an original S&W research letter for this particular pistol showing it was shipped on November 5, 1991 to Lew Horton Distributing in MA.
